About The Director
Director Mohammadish came to the City in May 2007 from Essex County where he served as Principal Engineer with the county’s Department of Public Works since 1989. He served as Acting County Engineer for a short time in 2002. He gained his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 1985 and his Master’s Degree in Traffic and Transportation Engineering in 1991 from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Mohammadish holds three additional engineering licenses: in building inspection, radon measurement, and pesticide inspector. He is also a certified federal Department of Housing and Urban Development inspector. Mohammadish has been a Newark resident for more than 15 years.
