rec logo 2012- colorThe Division of Recreation and Cultural Affairs provides comprehensive recreational and cultural activities for the citizens of Newark. Recreation strives to be the leader in promoting community health and well-being through fun, higher learning, progressive and memorable parks and recreation experiences and activities for everyone. This Division identifies and implements activities and programs that will reinforce success oriented character building attributes in Newark’s youth.

Recreation Center and Hours

Most Recreation Centers are open Monday-Friday: 7:30am-7:30pm and Saturday: 9:30am-5:30pm

Newark’s Recreation Centers provide pools, basketball courts, events and entertainment to Newark residents of all ages.
