Division of Watershed Development

Division of Watershed Development

This Division is responsible for promoting and producing creative fish and wildlife programs that support the recreational and educational resources for the City of Newark. These programs include the collection of fish and hunting license fees, permit fees for boating, hiking, horseback riding and related services located on the City’s 35,000 acre property located in West Milford, NJ. All the while not adversely impacting the delicate ecological system that supplies pristine water to the City and its customers. In collaboration with other City departments, the Watershed Division works on initiatives to increase the City’s revenue base from new and renovated development projects within the Pequannock Watershed boundaries.
