Ensure compliance on Tax Abatement/City Construction Projects through monitoring by enforcing the Affirmative Action Plan for Construction. Increase minority participation through outreach, partnering, one-on- one and joint ventures with other resource agencies.

The Office of Affirmative Action has established a construction workforce labor pool database. We are calling on all Newark Residents who have experience in the construction field as a laborer, tradesperson union or non-union to join our database.
