The Newark Municipal Court strives to provide all court users with a fair and efficient resolution to municipal court cases as well as to provide high quality and efficient customer service to the public.

Online Payments

To pay your ticket online, you will need your license plate number, summons number including the prefix and the Newark Municipal Court Code- 0714.  At this time, only parking and moving violations are payable online. To complete your online payment please visit:  www.njmcdirect.com

Court sessions are held five days a week in the mornings and in the afternoons.  Morning sessions begin at 8:30am and afternoon sessions begin at 4:00pm.

The Violations Bureau Payment Window is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 6:30pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 12pm.

The Customer Service Window for inquiries regarding parking and moving violations is located in room 105.  The hours are from 8:30am to 3:45pm, Monday through Friday.

The Customer Service Window for criminal inquiries is located in room 207.  The hours are from 8:30am to 3:45pm, Monday through Friday.
