Newark Tech is all about using technology to bring Newark residents closer together. It includes projects within City Hall and partnerships with community organizations. It is a collaborative experience of government – one that requires you to pitch in, help out, and care about your neighborhood.
Code for Newark is a Code for America Brigade, which means we’re volunteers that contribute our talents toward improving the way our local governments and community organizations use the web. Read about our exciting Hour of Code events where we reached over 400 students in 2013 and nearly a 1,000 in 2014! For 2015’s experience we ever got the city’s Chief Executive to participate. Story to be posted shortly.
