Baraka and the Newark Department of Health and Community Wellness reminded residents that the Open Enrollment period for health care insurance coverage under the Patient Care Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) began Tuesday, November 1, 2016, and will continue through Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Baraka, the Newark Municipal Council, and  the Newark Public Schools are partnering to host the “Lunch & Learn” free summer lunch program for Newark youth aged 18 and under, at six public schools across the City, followed by hour-long free and enjoyable literacy and math programs at the schools.
