Program Year 2008-2009 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER)
The City of Newark, New Jersey has completed its Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). The CAPER is an evaluation and performance report required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and details Newark’s accomplishments toward meeting the goals outlined in its Five Year Consolidated Action Plan (between May 1, 2008 and April 30, 2009). The CAPER reports on activities funded by the federal
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG), HOME, and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs.
Before submission to HUD, the draft CAPER must be made available for public review and comment for no fewer than 15 days.
The public review and comment period of the City’s 2008 CAPER will be February 11 through February 26, 2010. This review period will conclude with a public hearing hosted at 10:00 a.m. in the morning on February 26, 2010 at 394 University Avenue in the atrium on the first floor. Copies of the draft report are available at the Office of Partnerships and Grants Management located at 394 University Avenue, Second Floor. Residents may also submit comments regarding the CAPER in writing to the City of Newark Office of Partnerships and Grants Management, Second Floor, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
