Newark Master Plan
Vendor Opportunities
There are 14 public schools, four fire stations, one police station, three branch libraries, and two daycare centers, as well as numerous senior citizen and other cultural centers. The North Ward also boasts the North Ward Center, originally the North Ward Educational and Cultural Center, which was founded in 1970 by Steve Adubato, a Newark schoolteacher and community leader. Today it provides educational, cultural, and social services to low- and moderate-income families residing in the greater Newark community.
